What's On My Face #9:

First of all, I know this is supposed to be an 'every other Monday' post, however I was unfortunately bogged down with a lot of school work last night. Better late than never anyway!

Let's get straight into it. Today, I used a mix of my Nars Tinted Moisturiser and the Origins CC Cream (the sudden change from an Indian summer to a polar vortex made my skin freak out a little, so a hydrating base was much needed!) and the Nars Creamy concealer for areas that need extra coverage. I'm not totally convinced this concealer is worth the hype or money. I find it a little drying, particularly under the eyes.

To inject some life back into my skin - I turned to my trusty Hoola Bronzer (use sparingly fair-skinned ladies like me!) and the Mac blusher in Melba. These two together work wonders for the skin, and give a tawny, autumnal finish for the makeup.

As per usual, a quick slick of the Bobbi Brown Brow Gel was enough to keep my unruly brows in place. Boy, I love this product. I don't think anything will quite live up to it. Now that's a serious statement! On the eyelids, I opted for my latest obsession - MAC Eyeshadow in Woodwinked, as this really enhances the hazel tones in my eyes and is the perfect colour for the seasonal transition to fall. For lashes: Maybelline's The Falsies Mascara. Again, I love this but my trusty Clinique will never be trounced.

Although this appears quite brown in the pictures, I can assure it the Revlon Lip Stain Balm in Honey is the perfect nude/ pink lip. It's super hydrating, very pigmented and looks super pretty with natural makeup. I've also recently picked up a few of the matte shades.

Thanks for reading! I promise that the next WOMF will be on time! Have a good week!

I've been meaning to write this post for a long while; but somehow it always got pushed to one side. I guess thinking of interesting fifty facts was rather difficult, and sounded like a lot of work (albeit quite fun)! Latest Hair Inspo

Currently craving that Chelsea Blow-dry we all know and love. I often 'attempt' to achieve the Kate, the Millie or the Olivia look (think endless rollers and arm-achingly-painful blow-drying) but it never seems to quite finish the way it should. I blame my weak arms. It appears you need a good set of muscles in order to achieve va-va volume.

In any case, I am still feeling rather inspired by these beautiful ladies. Their hair is incredible. Look at the volume, that curl, the bounce, that slight breeze blowing through the tendrils. Dreamy, huh? Push-ups here I come.

Burberry Prorsum S/S 2015...

You all know Burberry is my favourite designer brand of all time; and although I don't own any Burberry (yet!) I admire from a far season after season. Christopher Bailey lures me in every time with a twist on classic styles, statement trench coats and utter coolness. Every girl wants to be a Burberry girl.  In previous seasons Christopher's reimagined the biker, the aviator jacket, the gritty parka, the trench - of course - and this season, he turned his hand to the denim jacket. The British countryside comes alive in spring and there were nods to that feeling, which arrive with the first signs of summer, rooted in this collection. From those fluffy soft lambswool accents, to that particular shade of grass green, to the oversized butterfly prints and enlarged and abstracted bumble bee motifs. Once, again, Burberry is the highlight of the fashion weeks so far. Below are some of my favourite fashion and beauty looks from the show. Enjoy!

What's On My Face #8:

First things first, I've decided to change this series, What's On My Face, to every other Monday. It just keeps things a bit fresher, not repetitive or monotonous. Anyway - to the makeup!

Surprise, surprise a natural look, once again! I began by applying a light layer of the L'oréal True Match Foundation (which I'm not overly convinced of anymore, it appears to make my skin look patchy?!), topped up with the Bobbi Brown Concealer under the eyes and on areas of redness. I love this concealer, although, I've repurchased it so many times I think I've finally had enough of the little guy!

Finishing off the base, I dusted on Rimmel Stay Matte Powder through the t-zone and the Body Shop Honey Bronzer around the temples and jawline. For pink, flushed cheeks, I used the Bourjois Blusher in Rose D'or. This is a beautiful colour for fair skin ladies like me, a light, dusty, pale pink.

For the brows, I went for quite a defined, thick brow and to achieve this I turned to my trusty Mac Eyeshadow in Omega. Then brushed my brows through with my all-time fave brow gel by Bobbi Brown. This brow gel is seriously like no other, especially if you lack in the thick-brow department.

All I used on the eyes was a combo I'm loving lately; the Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner in the tightline, and then a (mini version) of the Clinique Lash Power Mascara. This product is perfect for separating and defining lashes for a natural fluttery look. And as per usual, only one product for the lips - today I used the Mac Lipstick in Creme Cup and lightly patted this on the lips.

Remember - two weeks time until another WOMF! Thanks for reading!

Currently On My Wishlist...

September may be known as the month of 'fresh starts' due to school associations, but for me, it's the perfect time to add to my wardrobe in preparation for the chilly months ahead. New clothes = fresh start. The stores are already chockablock with heavy fur coats, chunky boots and cosy, cashmere scarves, and I've definitely seen a lot that's caught my eye already. Here is a list of my current to-buy's...

Topshop Croc Skaters
New Look Ankle Boots
Topshop Scarf Print Tee
Topshop Black and White Hybrid Top
Zara Printed Burgundy Trousers
Topshop Ring Set

What's On My Face #7:

Another Monday, another WOMF. Today's look is a rather funny one as I had a case of the sniffles when I took the photos (also ignore my fuzzy brows, I've been procrastinating tweezing them for a long while!). Without further ado, let's begin!

For the base I blended in my Nars Tinted Moisturiser in Alaska with a Real Techniques Stippling Brush (my fave). I then moved on to bronzer and blusher straight away; using Nars Laguna (well, the remains of...repurchase time!) and Max Factor Miracle Touch Cream Blusher in Soft Pink. This duo gives a healthy and natural finish to the skin.

Once again, a brow gel was all I used for my eyebrows - lately I've been loving the slightly more brushed and natural look instead of heavy definition. It's much softer for the face; and particularly when I had a cold, I didn't want to spend too much time shaping and defining. The Maybelline Brow Drama was all I needed for subtle impact.

I didn't want anything heavy on the eyes at all and so I grabbed out my trusty Naked 1 palette and lightly dusted the colour Hustle (a dark, shimmery, purple-grey) on the lids; and blended thoroughly. For lashes, I rooted for my all-time fave, the Clinique High Impact Mascara, but before I quickly curled them with Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers.

One product for the lips and I was done. To compliment the rest of the makeup, I opted for the Revlon Colourburst Balm Stain in Honey. A beautiful warm pink.
