Brunch at Tom Tom's, Belgravia

"Let there be brunch!" - declared everyone who has ever delved into the world of the late-breakfast, early-lunch delight.

Quite simply, there's nothing better.

On an unusually sunny day in London, my old school pals and I got together in Belgravia for a round of alfresco brunch at Tom Tom's

I've spotted this place several times on my wanderings around Belgravia (it so happens to be opposite the most-instagramed spot in London). So it's about time I popped in to see what was on offer.

Tom Tom's isn't too raved about on social media but is a favourite with locals (who are dubbed "Sloane Rangers" with Sloane Square just a minute away), who flock their for a spot of people watching as the place sits right on the corner of the popular Elizabeth Street.

While chattering away and soaking up that spring sun we so rarely often see, we all chose the French Brioche Toast.

Though disappointingly, they only had one portion left. When the breakfast/ brunch menu is served until 3 and we arrived at 11:30, I think it's a tad shame they had run out.

Nevertheless - we let one lucky chick order up the toast, while the rest of us ordered up different delights.

And while a true, hearty brunch is never complete without a bloody mary or prosecco in hand, I had the next best: iced mocha.

And judging by that face of mine, I think it's safe to say it went down a treat.

Tom Tom's is a great little spot to bathe in the sunshine, people watch and eat some generally good food. But would I go back in a flash? Probably not.

The food on offer is slightly less than exciting in comparison to other London gems, and the staff were a little moody at points. That said, it really is in a great little spot and the interior inside is pretty cosy too. The chilled ambiance definitely makes up for it all.

And if you do make a trip, be sure to have a snoop around Belgravia as there are some beautiful treasures...

And wander a little further beyond King's Road in Chelsea onto the most beautiful street in London.

Bywater Street!

The residents must surely frown upon people endlessly taking photos of their houses, but if you're anything like me and simply adore pastels and townhouses, then by all means take a 'gram!

Deep down they must love the fact people adore their houses so dearly.
