But when 'Gabrielle Chanel' thrusted its sophisticated, golden, boxy self in front of our eyes, it seemed there actually could be something just as successful.

At first glance, they're both pretty similar with clear box bottles and deep floral notes hailing from Chanel's flower fields in Grasse. The scent is based on four white flowers: sparkling orange blossom, fruity ylang-ylang, creamy jasmine and pure Grasse tuberose. But it also has notes of sandalwood and blackcurrent, alongside others that remain strictly top secret to create a truly radiant scent.

Ultimately, the perfume embodies Chanel herself, thus it being named 'Gabrielle', her first name, instead of 'Coco' which is merely a nickname given to her during her teenage years.
