12 Things I Love About London.

I love calling London my home. The thriving city is filled with so much to see, do and explore. There's something to discover or stumble upon around every corner. And despite Londoners being tagged as 'stuffy', 'moaners' or a tad grumpy, it truly is a city filled with so much happiness and celebration. So in honour of the city I reside in, I thought I'd write a little about why I love it so much.

Exploring London: Notting Hill

It's without a doubt that Notting Hill is one of the prettiest (and most-instagrammed) places in London. With candy-coloured townhouses, flourishing cherry blossoms and vintage cars in abundance, its hard not to understand why. Yet, this little West London corner of the city shouldn't just be admired for its beauty - there are plenty of delicious restaurants, bustling bars and stylish shops to lose and immerse yourself in. Save Your Staples: A Guide to Caring for Your Wardrobe Essentials

Top, cardigan, trousers and belt - all Tosphop
It's happened to the best of us before - a most treasured clothing item dives in to the wash only to return either a couple of sizes smaller or even a different colour. Heartbreaking, I know. Yet, it may not always concern garments, sometimes our most prized handbags can lose shape, zips can go rusty and the inside may just serve to collect dust and chewing gum wrappers. Lovely!

However, there are a few tricks to ensure your clothes and accessories stay in tip top condition. With thanks to Third Love, you can stay rest assured that nothing will ever lose its worth. This beautiful and revolutionary American underwear brand, who work on finding the best fitting bra possible for women, have released a few fashion secrets on caring for your wardrobe.

So have a little read of the handy tips below and take note. My favourite trick? Stuffing bags to keep their shape. Perhaps a slightly obvious one, but often forgotten nonetheless. Click below to read more!

Barcelona Style Inspiration

My venture to Barcelona may be two months away, yet I am that excited that I have already begun endless searching of style inspiration. Perhaps the warmer weather in London last week (which has now ended...), that saw me in all things bright and breezy, encouraged this research as I decided to create a secret Pinterest board of inspo to turn to when packing. So today I'm here to share with you all my findings, and hopefully help you out with some summer style creativity too - whether your residence is already in a beautifully hot country or you're vacating on a wild adventure sometime soon.

My Met Gala Best Dressed List

Blake Lively, Karlie Kloss
I know, I know. You're probably all fed up with seeing Met Gala photos by now, however I just couldn't resist sharing with you all my favourite looks. I seldom feature celebrity style on ATF but considering the fashion stakes were so high this year at the event due to the incredible and interesting theme of "Manus Versus Machina: Fashion in An Age of Technology", I had to make an exception. There were so many beautiful and creative looks that perfectly fitted the breif - be it through futuristic metallic shades in favour of technology's impact on fashion or intricate hand-embroidery to show the power of hand craft. I can't quite decide who's my favourite look is, but I must confess that I rather love Kate Hudson's Versace look. There's something so mechanical and deconstructed about it, and it perfectly frames her feminine figure. Yet, I don't think anyone can deny Claire Danes' Cinderella gown (that FYI...lights up!) is one beauty of a dress! Click below to see more of my favourite looks from the 2016 Met Gala.

Brand Lovin': Reformation

If you live over in the States then you've most likely already heard of this eco-friendly, minimalist-chic and feminine-yet-cool LA-based brand, Reformation. It embodies LA's relaxed vibe with dreamy dresses, boxy leather jackets and vintage Levi's all in abundance. Unfortunately, the brand isn't yet available in the UK, nevertheless I for one am loving the summer style inspiration.

I stumbled upon this brand upon scrolling through a post from my favourite blogger and instantly I was hooked. I just love the subtle femininity to the clothes, and the cool chic vibe mixed with the nod to vintage silhouettes. Flirty 40's-style dresses are sat next to 90's Levi cutoffs, while bohemian maxi dresses are in line with lingerie-inspired pieces that further enhance the 90's style. Everything is so beautiful. Even more beautiful when considering the fact every piece is eco-friendly and sustainable.

Oh, Hey May!

I know everyone says it every month - but how crazy is it that it's May already! I've got so many exciting things coming up this month such as my very last day of sixth form and senior prom, but then I'm still in the throws of endless revision for my June exams. However, I'm keeping positive by wanderlusting over dreamy adventure snaps over on Pinterest and thinking of the long summer ahead.

So without further ado, let's jump into some May inspo. This month is all about rugged, loose denim teamed with either slinky lingerie-inspired blouses or nautical stripes. Ahoy to a new month!
