Zermatt Photo Diary: Day 3: Findlerhof By Franz and Heidi

On our way down from Sunnegga to Findeln to eat in the amazing Findlerhof restaurant
My mum and I were sooooo hungry for these bad boys...

Nom, nom, nom! Rosti (which is like grated potato) with cheese, fried eggs and tomato
My Uncle and Nan wanted to snuggle the blanket (Yes, Findlerhof is such a nice restaurant, if you sit outside they give you blankets!)
Findlerhof sits right on the edge of a mountain - it has stunning views! Thank you Franz and Heidi!
The sun was soon to set behind the mountains, back down to Zermatt.

Zermatt Photo Diary: Day 2: Sledging from Rotenboden to Riffelberg

Sledging from Rotenboden to Riffelberg
We made it down to Riffelberg, and this was the view! ^
My beautiful Nan and I :)
We then went to the Les Marmottes  restaurant for lunch. I had spaghetti bolognese with sparkling apple juice.
Me and my sister, Jess.
We then walked (my sister and uncle skied down) from Furi to Zermatt where we then chilled and relaxed in our apartment. Next photo diary should be up in a few days. Hope you are all having a good week!

Tuesday Ten: Best Spring Picks From Topshop

Spring is only a week away (March)! The weather is so grey and depressing here in London that I just HAD to do a Spring-related post in order to bring a chirpy smile back to my face. I'm really looking forward to Spring. It's my favourite season. Sunshine, the cold breeze, daffodils, bunnies, Easter, my birthday, bees and butterflies, coffees and brunch etc. I feel like after a cold, wet and dull Winter, I just want something bright, chirpy and colourful - that's what Spring is. S/S'13 is all about being relaxed, distressed and casual. Lots of  prints, bright pops of colour and loose knits. I think Topshop have a beautiful Spring range. Really colourful and stylish. Here are some of my top picks...

  1. Blue Porcelain Floral Bikini, £30.00
  2. Knitted Mix Stitch Sweater, £34.00
  3. Knitted Tweedy Slouch Jumper, £42.00
  4. Cord Hotpants, £32.00
  5. 'Sylvie' Knot Front Heels, £65.00
  6. Preppy Clear Round Sunglasses, £14.00
  7. Holographic Nail Varnish in Wistful, £6.00
  8. Stripe Floral Pelmet Skirt, £34.00
  9. 'Figaro' Cris Cross Sandals, £45.00
  10. Vintage Leather Satchel, £65.00

Zermatt Photo Diary: Day 1: Travelling and Chez Vrony

The view from the plane window above the clouds, was simply beautiful.
Arrival in Zermatt!
Walking down from Sunnega to Findeln - I worked up such an appetite for Chez Vrony!

Yay, we made it!
My Nan, Grandad and Sister all had the same meal as me - Rosti with bacon, cheese and egg. While my mum and uncle had...
...the classic (and gigantic!) Chez Vrony burger.
About to get on the chairlift back up to Sunnega, then the train down to Zermatt.
When we got back, we decided to have a little snoop around our apartment (La Boheme - Don Giovanni)
Photo diary day two should be up in the next two days.

Beauty Note: Spring Clean Your Skin

Dull, gray hues are a tell-tale sign of dead skin cells that have accumulated on the upper dermal layers. Leaving them on your face is one of the most aging things you can do because they hide the brighter, younger skin beneath. Exfoliation is key, but it's important not to go overboard; using heavy, grainy scrubs too often can do more harm than good. Using a harsh scrub can create micro-tears that leave your complexion red, sensitive and inflamed. It also thins the skin, which enhances signs of aging, try a lighter exfoliater with the right ingredients instead.

Dehydrated skin exacerbates visible signs of aging: from wrinkles and fine lines to pigmentation. Get plenty of moisture to those deeper layers, as there's nothing more youthful and vibrant than plump, dewy skin. Don't just reach for your regular cream, though, you need a product designed to rejuvenate tired skin. I recommend the REN Glycolatic Radiance Renewal Mask.

You need to feed your skin from within, too. If it’s dehydrated and suffering from excess sugar consumption, it’s essential to redress the balance. The best way to do that is by adding extra good fats to your diet. Increase your intake of oily fish and walnuts to boost omega 3. Leafy vegetables, seeds, nuts, grains and vegetable oils all provide omega 6, but there is a cheat’s way to get everything. Drinking gallons of water won’t necessarily change your complexion. The majority of worthwhile hydration comes from the food you eat rather than drinking water, fruits and vegetables offer the highest fluids, but even chicken breasts contain more than 50 percent water.

Tuesday Ten: Best Dressed at the Grammy's

Fashion was all the go at this year's Grammy awards. Beyonce went for a modern, black and white jumpsuit while Rihanna went for a beautiful red gown. There was a new dress rule this year that there was to be no 'nakedness'. Well, we did have this and this last year. Taylor Swift usually wears a-line dresses but this year went looked like a Grecian goddess. Alexa Chung and Mika Newton looked so pretty and Spring-y in their floral dresses, they were my favourites of the night. Karlie Kloss wore a bright blue Michael Kors dress while Carly Rae Jepson opted for a gothic Roberto Cavalli maxi. So, erm, about this new dress code, Katy Perry and Kelly Rowland are pretty much rule breakers.
